Hostels and hotels can crossover at some points as some hostels will offer private rooms as well. Generally hostels are cheaper, as many hotels have a set price for Iranians and a higher one for foreigners, whereas hostels don’t seem to have this. Rooms can be found for as little as 6 Euros a night and will have things like shared facilities. Hostels are of course, a great place to meet other travellers and in general the Iranian people are viewed as some of the nicest you are likely to encounter on your world travels. Hostels aren’t really suitable for single women travellers and some may even insist on separate sleeping quarters.
