With a population of over 7 million people, it’s no surprise that most Iranians have tried their hand at most, if not all varieties of the sporting world. Tehran itself is to host a mixed shooting championship in July 2009 which is testament to the relative popularity of the sport. Shooting ranges can be found around Tehran, though are not generally an activity undertaken by a foreigner. Still if they let you in, get firing!
