Sweden: Crime

Sweden’s crime rate is relatively low, but tourists are easy prey to the pickpockets, purse-snatches and criminals who make a living from car and hotel robberies. Beware of big areas, like train stations, be extra careful if you are wandering around major tourist attractions and keep your wits about you when you are in hotel lobbies: one aspect of this criminality involves well dressed criminals loitering around hotel lobbies just waiting for tourists to target luggage and briefcases.
