Stockholm: Crime

Sweden is generally a safe country and Stockholm a comparatively safe city. That being said, the crime rate in Stockholm is the highest in the country and one should be on guard against pickpockets and tourist scams. Illegal taxis are numerous and it is not advised that one use them. Common sense and caution are, as always, the best policies when traveling in foreign cities, especially at night.
