Spain: Introduction
Paella, Flamenco and Tapas..

Spain is an affordable holiday destination which has been attracting tourists since the birth of package holiday deals in the 1960s. And it has never lost its popularity, thanks to the heady mix of guaranteed sunshine and some of the cheapest hotels in the Mediterranean. With so much coastline, Spain is a beach lover's paradise. The choices for a beach holiday are endless, but popular resorts include the Costa del Sol and Costa Blanca, or the windsurfing paradise of Costa de Luz and Tarifa.
You can also take your pick of city breaks, with Barcelona being the number one choice for many tourists. It is not difficult to see why, with so many ancient, medieval and modern sights, alongside a dazzling array of restaurants, bars and nightclubs. Spain's capital, Madrid, also has some heavy hitting credentials such as grand boulevards, lovely squares and incredible art. Or try a city break to Seville, which is one of the tapas capitals of Spain. And as it's located in the most southern region of the country, it boasts a particlularly warm climate.
A couple of hours by bus from Seville is Granada which is home to Spain's most celebrated building - the Moorish masterpiece that is the Alhambra. And while staying in Spain it's definitely worth booking a daytrip over to Morocco, where you can ride camels, visit the markets, and sample the local cuisine.
