Costs in Sardinia are relatively average in comparison to mainland Italy with prices increasing slightly during summer months. There is something to suit every budget in Sardinia and if you do your research in advance you will find small ways to save money. If you want to explore the island by bus or train a seven day tourist pass is available for €50 (Treno e Sardegna) and allows you access on all trains and buses operated by Trenitalia and FdS. An average city bus fares cost about €1, a coffee €2.50, a night in a hostel between €15 and €25, and a double room in a hotel can be €85 - €180 per night.
