For the best shopping in Samos, head to Samos Towns (Vathi) where you can find all kinds of shops from jewellery and souvenir shops to art shops. There are also a range of shops in the popular resorts of Pythagorio and Karlovassi. The famous local wine and honey can be found in practically every shop in Samos. In the villages of Mavrarzei and Koumandarei folk art shops sell a range of fine ceramics, pottery, woven fabrics and hand-made rugs. You can also buy bags made of goat wool and woven fabrics with beautiful designs and colours and which are made on local looms.
