A honeymoon in Samos offers wonderful weather from May to September, a wide range of accommodation to suit every budget, 160km of coastline with lots of beaches, plus a wealth of heritage sights to explore in the unlikely event that you tire of your hotel! Food and drink is tasty and reasonably priced and there are direct flights to and from the UK. If you’re planning a winter wedding, it’s not ideal since there’s some rain from December to January. For sporty types there’s a wide range of water sports on offer, as well as hiking in the mountains.
If you get itchy feet, there are loads of boat trips to other Greek islands on offer, and you can even go on a day trip to Turkey to see the famous Ephesus. One word of warning – if you’ve got your heart set on the picture postcard sandy beach for your honeymoon in Samos, bear in mind that a lot of the beaches in Samos are pebbly, so double-check before booking.
