Rhodes: Food and Drink
(Ro-dos in Greek)
Food and drink in Rhodes is fabulous as long as you pick the right place. Anthony Quinn Bay boasts a great restaurant with very attentive service and delicious fresh fish. Seven Springs is another charming location with a fantastic restaurant built around a network of springs. If you are looking for something a little more meaty, head into the mountains for food and drink in Rhodes and sample any one of the local traditional Greek restaurants. The local wine and sparkling wine is certainly worth trying as well as a local drink called Soima made of grapes, and a special kind of honey. Although you can get a drink any of the hundreds of bars peppering the island, the real traditional Greek taverns are in the smaller villages. Rhodes town and Lindos are also home to a wide range of international and Greek restaurants.
