Quebec: Costs

Quebec is an inexpensive province and Montreal and Quebec City are cheap compared to other major world metropolises; the cost of living in Montréal is among the lowest. As a visitor, accommodation is the biggest expense, costing anywhere between €40 and €190 for a double room in a good quality bed and breakfast or downtown hotel. For a high-season bed in a hostel expect to pay even less at just €15 a night. Transportation is relatively cheap as is eating in restaurants and entry prices for the main attractions are reasonable, if not free.
