Quebec: White Water Rafting

The crown jewel of French Canada

Quebec White Water Rafting

The Lachine Rapids are ideal for white water rafting in Quebec. Head to Rapids Park (just off the southern shores of Lasalle) or take on one of North America's best white water rivers, the Rouge. The river has a total length of 220km. and runs between the Rouge-Matawin wildlife refuge and the Ottawa River. On route you'll find dozens of rapids ranging from a gentle Class I to an adrenaline rushing VI. The river is easily accessible, it can be run at any time of the paddling season and the water temperature is relatively warm. Training is recommended as is knowledge of your equipment when booking with tours. Other good spots in Quebec for white water rafting are the Moisie River, Gatineau River and Magpie River.
