Puerto Rico is famous for its deep sea fishing and pier fishing. Chartered boats take tourists out into the sea to fish for Yellowfin tuna, Mahi Mahi, White Marlin and other fish. Winter months are best for fishing in Puerto Rico. Tourists can rent accommodation close to piers for fishing from the shore where equipment for fishing is available in abundance. For deep sea fishing charter boats are available in most harbors of Puerto Rico from San Juan to Fajardo and Humacao to Mayaguez. Most fishing charter boats supply tackle and usually run for a half a day or a full day, depending on which you prefer.
