Whether it is a Guest House, Hotel or Apartment if you want to go to the Netherlands during the peak holiday periods of July and August on the coast and Christmas, you need to think about booking your accommodation at least a few weeks in advance. You will find that hotels and accommodation in Amsterdam is often at a premium, so you may need to book several weeks in advance if you intend to stay there. At other times of the year, and in other locations, you may not necessarily need to book in advance, provided you are prepared to be flexible.
