Netherlands: Surfing
Bustling liberal cities, Windmills, flowers, fish, cafés, cheese - and tall people

There is plenty of choice in the Netherlands when it comes to catching the waves. Some of the best places to try are in the south, for example Zeeland’s delta, Scheveningen and in the central lakes of Flevoland and Gelderland. Other popular locations for surfing are
the “Loosdrechtse Plassen” and the Maas lakes in Limburg. Almost all of the surfing areas
in the Netherlands are easily reached by car or public transport. Facilities for surfers in the Netherlands are excellent too, with almost every surfing location having as schools for beginners, amongst other amenities. Any surfers thinking of tackling the North Sea, should be reasonably experienced, as conditions there can be quite unpredictable.
