Munich: Disabled Needs
Folklore and age-old traditions with sleek BMWs, designer boutiques and modern people
Thanks to Munich being a popular tourist destination, the city is well prepared for disabled visitors. Prior to any holiday to Munich, those travelling with the disabled should inform the relevant airline of any special needs and assistance required, prior to travel. On arrival at Munich’s airport, wheelchairs are available free of charge from the information desks in areas A to D and Z departures hall. There are wheelchair-accessible toilets and lifts throughout the airport. Disabled parking is available in all underground and multi-storey car parks. Once in the city, local tourist offices can often issue permits for drivers to allow visitors to access especially allocated handicapped areas.
