Munich: Cycling Activity Holiday

Folklore and age-old traditions with sleek BMWs, designer boutiques and modern people

Munich Cycling Activity Holiday

One of the best ways to take in what Munich has to offer is on a cycling holiday. Munich has 700 kilometres of bike paths, and the city itself boasts 18 cycle routes alone. Visitors can request a copy of these from the tourist information office. The ADFC, Germany’s association for cyclists, offers cycle holidays on the Euro Bike Bus and cycle tours across Greater Munich at the weekends or on weekday evenings. The club also offers valuable advice on bike maintenance at its headquarters on Platenstraße.

For those who have not brought their own pedal power for a Munich cycling holiday, between May to October, Radius Touristik hires out bicycles for €3 per hour or from €14 per day, where a €50 deposit is required. Discover Bavaria, located on the corner of Brauhausstrasse and Hochbrukensstrasse also rents out bikes for €7.70 for a half day, and €12.80 for a full day.
