Montreal: Beach

A city of a hundred nations

A prime location for a beach retreat from the hustle and bustle of the city, Montreal somehow lacks in beaches to be proud of. The city only has two beaches accessible by public transport: Cap St-Jacques, a natural sandy beach situated by the edge of Deux Montagnes Lake and Plage du Parc Jean Drapeau. The latter, a man made lake, is packed during the hot summer months. Enjoy swimming, sailing, windsurfing, canoeing and kayaking.Open mid-June to the end of August. Further a field (55km) try Oka Park Beach, a nudist beach just northwest of Montreal.
