Miami: Costs
Alligators, mosquitos, hurricanes, funky people and a vivacious nightlife

Miami’s economy is surging, which can mean that prices and costs in Miami are high for tourists. So, whilst it is possible to do a budget day in Miami costing around €70 whilst reigning in the purse-strings (think €45 for a room in a hostel, €15 on food and the rest on drinks and transport), you’ll probably find you want to spend a lot more when you’re actually there.
Naturally, it depends on where you’re staying and the time you go, but to get a nice hotel room in Miami this will cost at least €90. On the more decadent end of the pricing scale, a full-on hotel room could cost you anything from €300 - €700 a night.
When it comes to food, it is possible for a dinner in Miami to cost you as little as €7.5, particularly if you spend wisely in one of the many ethnic eateries or delis. But, if you’re looking for a bit more ambience and a drink along with your meal, a Miami dinner alone can cost you upwards of €7.5 for a glass of wine and €18 for food.
Other activities can be pricy too. Entry to a nightclub can cost from €15 in Miami, with cocktails costing €7.5 each, whilst entry to Miami events can cost anything from €11 - €75 .
