Miami is big on spectator sports, and there are places to watch football, horse racing, dog racing, stock-car racing, tennis, polo, basketball, ice hockey and baseball to name but a few. The Miami Dolphins are Miami’s contender in the National Football League, and you can spectate at games from September to December. Basketball is another big spectator sport, and you’ll find the Miami Heat at home in Miami’s American Airlines Arena. Spectators can also watch the world’s fastest sport, jai alai at Miami Jai Alai on 37th Avenue.
