Masai Mara: Hostels

There are no hostels in the Masai Mara but if you are a budget traveller or backpacker and combining a safari trip to the Masai Mara with a beach holiday in Mombasa, you’ll find budget accommodation, like the Beach Campresort, which offers safari-style ‘houses’ each with double bed, mosquito net and paraffin lamp for just 8-10 euros a night. Nairobi has a good choice of hostels to choose from, so is excellent if you’re planning an overnight stay before heading off on safari in the Masai Mara. Included in the Nairobi hostels are the International Youth Hostel, which can arrange airport pick up and drop off and book safaris for you at a discounted rate. It’s still worth haggling over the price though!
