Malawi: Population

Malawi’s population is almost 14 million. The official language spoken is Chichewa, although English is also widely spoken in cities. Incomes in Malawi are very low and unevenly distributed. Tribal and ethnic distinctions have diminished greatly in Malawi, although different tribal areas still exist and have their own customs and variations on the Chichewan language.
