Valldemossa in Majorca
Valldemossa is a stunning village located on high ground in the western part of Majorca situated in the Tramontana mountain range. The views are beautiful from this true Majorcan village and there is a quiet atmosphere to the place as it sits in between a fantastic part of the Majorcan landscape. There are fields full of olive and almond trees and the Monastery in Valldemossa attracts a lot of people to this area including the famous Chopin. Valldemossa provides a relaxing day out in which to enjoy the quieter side of Majorca. If you feel up to the challenge cycle up the steep, winding roads, otherwise I would suggest hiring a car to visit this must-see place

Water sports in Majorca
Majorca has everything to offer when it comes to water sports. The island has 41 marinas and mooring available for 10,000 yachts. Whether you want to watch or take part you won’t be disappointed with the water sports in Majorca. For those who love sailing the King’s Cup takes place in August. Majorca is in a fantastic location in the Mediterranean Sea where the clean, calm waters provide a perfect spot for water activities. From jet skiing, water skiing and wave boarding there’s a multitude on offer in most of Majorca’s beach resorts. Wind surfing is also popular particularly in the bays of Cala Ratjada, Es trenc, Cala Guya and Alcudia. Diving in Majorca is also a fantastic way to explore the lustrous waters and there are plenty of diving schools and tours available all year round. However, between November and April some diving ahs been known to get cancelled because of stormy weather. Marine life in Majorca is abundant with rainbow wrasse, European barracuda, eels, gobies, octopus, lobsters and much more. But if all you want is a fun beach side activity there are always doughnuts and parachutes on the main beaches such as Magaluf, El Arenal and Santa Posta.

Catedral de Palma in Majorca
An incredible site when driving along the coast of Majorca through Palma is the gothic cathedral of Palma. The Seo, as it is referred to in Majorca was built on the site of a preexisting Arab mosque. Jamie I however built a cathedral on top of the site when in 1229 he was caught in a storm and vowed to the Virgin Mary that if he survived the storm he would erect a cathedral in her honour but it wasn’t until 1601 that the project was completed. The spectacular structure really is something to see and while there you may as well take advantage of the surroundings in the city of Palma. The old town is a great place to wander around and there is plenty more architecture to see including La Almudaina Palace.
