Majorca is situated on the western side of the Mediterranean Sea roughly 200km off the coast of Spain. Majorca’s neighbouring islands include Ibiza and Menorca, Majorca is the largest of the three islands.
Languages of Majorca
Spanish and Catalan are the two main languages spoken in Majorca. The younger population are usually bilingual in both Spanish and Catalan. The English language is known by many Majorcans also.
Currency of Majorca
The currency in Majorca is now the Euro but it used to be the peseta. There are many foreign exchange outlets that will exchange Pound Sterling for Euros.
