Majorca: Gay and Lesbian
Most Popular Spanish Mediterranean Island
Majorca’s capital of Palma offers a great destination for the gay community. Palma is very quickly becoming one of Europe's trendiest and exciting places for both straight and gay couples. Palma has many exceptional historic buildings, including the dramatic Cathedral on the water front and the gorgeous Almudaina Palace. Palma has excellent Michelin star restaurants as well as traditional Spanish eateries. Palma has brilliant shops, fantastic beaches with a great mix of cosmopolitan towns and quaint villages near by.
The gay nightlife is firmly centred in Palma and the scene here is more Spanish orientated rather than the typical, commercial scenes that the majority of gay centred Spanish resorts are. There are a few great gay friendly hotels and apartments in Palma located in the heart of the gay district such as Rosamar which caters for mainly gay and lesbian clients. Not only is it in a great location for bars and clubs but they have some great rooms with balconies and sea views looking out over Palma bay. If apartment accommodation is your preference then try the Aparsuit which is close to the Gomila area of Palma meaning you’re just a few minutes walk from the gay bars and discos.
