Madeira Population

Madeira was originally settled by Portuguese who now have their own distinct regional identity and cultural traits, but speak Portuguese. There are just under 250,000 people in Madeira, most of whom live on the main island of Madeira. About 4,500 live on Madeira’s sister island of Porto Santo.
