Any shopping trip in Madeira must include a visit to the market in Madeira’s capital, Funchal, where you’ll find colourful stalls of fruit, vegetables, plants, bulbs and fish. Must-buys include Madeira wines and the embroidery and wickerware for which Madeira is famous.
