• Hollywood Sign

Built to advertise a new housing development in 1923, today’s current sign originally read Hollywoodland and was intended as a temporary structure. The 50 foot high white letters are an unmistakable symbol of the film industry and movie stars. A popular photo subject for visitors, the sign is not directly accessible and can best be viewed driving north up Beachwood Drive off of Hollywood Boulevard.

• Disneyland & Universal Studios Theme Park

Due to the love of movies the world over, many people have a special affinity for certain characters and stories. These moments can be experienced again in real life by visiting wonderful theme parks such as the original Disneyland and Universal Studios Hollywood. Fun for families and visitors of all ages, the parks provide hours if not days of entertainment and once-in-a-lifetime memories.

• Beverly Hills & Rodeo Drive

Beverly Hills and Rodeo Drive are synonymous with movie stars and the ultra rich. With the popularity of the 90210 (Beverly Hills’ zip code) television series and the movie Pretty Woman, visitors can’t help but visit this lavish area of Los Angeles lined with those ever present tall palm trees. It is also home to the famous pink The Beverly Hills Hotel.

• Venice Beach Boardwalk

Also known as “Ocean Front Walk” the Venice Beach boardwalk is a must see promenade popular among locals and tourists for bicycling, walking, roller-skating, and people-watching. Whether you want to check out the action at Muscle Beach, get your fortune read, have your portrait drawn, grab a bite to eat, or shop – the boardwalk delivers with a quirky style all its own.

• Santa Monica Pier

Located at the end of the Third Street Promenade, the Santa Monica Pier is recognizable from many films and TV. With an amusement park, aquarium, shops, cafes, a pub, a trapeze school, street vendors, and entertainers, the pier has something for everyone.

• Mann’s Chinese Theater

A visit to Los Angeles would not be complete without visiting Mann’s Chinese Theater, also known as Grauman’s Chinese Theater. There travellers can come close to legendary stars of today and yesterday who have immortalized themselves by placing their hand and footprints in concrete. The theatre operates as a first run movie house to this day.

• Walk of Fame on Hollywood Boulevard

A short walk from Mann’s Chinese Theater along a stretch of Hollywood Boulevard, visitors can stroll along looking for the names of their favourite stars. The Hollywood Walk of Fame is popular photo opportunity for many visitors to Los Angeles.
