Los Angeles: Canoeing

Ocean kayaking or canoeing is the hot new sport that everyone wants to try. Los Angeles has many shops along the coast that rent equipment and take visitors on kayaking or canoeing tours. Rentals start at $15 per hour for single kayaks/canoes and $25 per hour for doubles. Canoeing or kayaking is a great way to see the Southern California wildlife and ecology, not to mention great exercise. Sea lions, dolphins, and pelicans are common sights out on the water.
