Cyprus: Water Skiing

Many of the beaches in Cyprus have water sport activities such as jet-ski, water skiing, paragliding windsurfing and fun boats. The Mediterranean is calm and warm and as the ripples of waves are relatively flat it is possible to pick up speed before crashing off the break of a bigger wave. Jet-ski hire in Cyprus is fairly expensive at 50 Euro for 15 minutes, though some beaches do have less powerful machines for a lower price. Water skiing and paragliding are around 25-30 Euro whist the banana boat and rubber rings are between 8 and 10 Euros. Life jackets or wetsuits are provided for all water sport activities in Cyprus, but you should wear a swimming costume underneath and be prepared to get wet.
