Croatia has 4.437460 inhabitants. The majority of the population are Croats while national minorities are Serbs, Slovenes, Hungarians, Bosnians, Italians, Czechs and others. The official language is Croatian. English is widely spoken throughout the country and Italian is spoken a lot in the Istrian peninsula and in Dalmatia. Croatia is an upper middle-income country and a fully-fledged market economy.
