Hotels in Costa Rica are actually quite reasonable on the whole. The service they provide has notably improved since the 90s and their prices have as well. Beware of the busy times – around December and January (the holidays), as you may find it a fair sight more costly. Inexpensive rooms can be found at around 22 Euros, moderate ones around 30-50 Euros and expensive ones at 60-90 Euros per night. There are also what’s known as “super hotels” in prime locations like beaches and more secluded paradise areas – perfect for that honeymooning couple.
