Like any tourist resort, the Costa Dorada is at its busiest in the summer when the temperatures are also at their hottest, and it is advisable to book early. The cheaper prices for plane tickets tend to go very quickly, sometimes months in advance and therefore it is recommended to book travel as far in advance if possible as availability can be limited closer to the time. During off peak period, outside of the school holidays, and when temperatures are lower, there are some good offers on prices, and therefore it is worth shopping around before making a reservation, as many hotels prefer to have full properties when the weather is cooler.
