Costa Dorada: Surfing

Due to its coastal location, the Costa Dorada is the perfect place to pierce the waves on your surf board, the warm Mediterranean waters are warm all year round, however during the winter months the windy unsettled weather means that the waves are at their height, so you can go on a surfing holiday to the Costa Dorada any time of the year. There are surf shops in the city centres and on Salou, Barcelona and Tarragona’s beaches, where you can buy and hire surfing attire and a surf board. Most of the beaches in the Costa Dorada are surfer friendly in terms changing facilities; however, it is best to check on the internet in advance whether this is the case.
