Cannes: Culture and Arts

Clearly the most important cultural event in Cannes is the film festival that takes place every year in May. The city of Cannes also has lots to offer music lovers - during the Musical Nights of Le Suquet, international orchestras perform in the Palais des Festivals. Leading orchestras perform during the festival, and others perform throughout the year, most notably during the biennial International Classical Music Festival. Cannes is also popular for theatre enthusiasts, and during the International Actors' Performance Festival small venues are used to stage humorous sketches.j
