Budapest: When to go
The Capital of Hungary

The climate in Budapest is relatively mild, though the summers can be sizzling. The city itself is beautiful any time of the year, and in winter takes on its own characteristics, particularly at night when the city lights magnificently illuminate the capital in stark contrast to the dull, grey skies of winter days. Snow is also common over the winter period, which of course brings its own magic. Budapest in the spring is generally very mild and the city in full bloom is a beautiful sight, though May tends to see a lot of rainfall, whereas early autumn is pleasant yet turning cold earlier in the evening. Weather wise, summer is the best time to visit Budapest though this is also the height of the tourist season and very busy. Prices for accommodations are at a premium over Christmas, Easter, during summer and Banks Holidays. Outside these times discounts aplenty are available.
