Shopping in Budapest can be an interesting and rewarding experience. Like any major city there is a plethora of shops in Budapest with all the popular high street retailers and a healthy selection of specialist shops, you will find Hungary's capital has an acute sense of fashion. Bargains are much harder to find anywhere these days and Budapest shops are no exception. Though in general the prices are cheaper than America and other western European countries, you will find that the well known fashion brands are actually more expensive. Shops in Budapest open from 10am-6pm Mon-Fri and close at 1pm on a Saturday and credit cards are widely accepted.
