British Columbia: Wine Tasting Holiday

From the Capital Victoria to Largest City Vancouver

There are five main wine regions in British Columbia the Okanagan Valley, Vancouver Island, the Gulf Islands, Fraser Valley and Similkameen Vallery. Drive scenic country roads to find excellent wineries dotted throughout these areas. Most wineries offer tours and quiet tasting rooms where often it is the owner pouring your sample. Quite a bit of BC wine is handmade and on a much smaller scale than vineyards in other regions of the world. The Okanagan Valley alone is home to over 70 wineries supplying 95% of BC’s wine. If you are not traveling as far as the Okanagan, visitors on Vancouver Island will find that there are 25 wineries to be discovered in the scenic hillsides. For a taste of Pinot Noir and Pinot Gris try Church & State, a 25-acre estate with views of the valley and ocean on Vancouver Island.
