Brisbane: When to go
Sub Tropical Paradise

Brisbane is a city geared up for tourism, so when you should visit depends on what you takes your fancy from the huge variety of attractions and activities Brisbane has to offer. Keep in mind that the seasons in Australia are opposite to those in the Northern Hemisphere. Brisbane’s weather is pleasant year-round, though the winters (June through August) can be clammy. Spring is the wettest season, while summer (December through February) is normally comfortable. The average high in January is 79 degrees and the average low in July is 45 degrees. Those stuck with certain weeks because of work or the kids’ school holidays should book as early as possible even 3 months or more in advance. Discounts for booking early are usually available so you can still pick up a bargain break. The other busiest periods on the island are Easter and Christmas where hotel and guest house prices are at a premium. However, if you plan to go to Brisbane any other time of the year you will most definitely find some real bargains.
