Geographical Location of Brisbane
Brisbane is in the southeast corner of Queensland, Australia. The city is centred around the Brisbane River, and its eastern suburbs line the shores of Moreton Bay. The greater Brisbane region is on the coastal plain east of the Great Dividing Range. The city of Brisbane is hilly, and the majority of the urban area is partially elevated by spurs of the Herbert Taylor Range. Other prominent rises in Brisbane are Mount Gravatt and the nearby Toohey Mountain, as well as the lower rises of Highgate Hill, Mount Ommaney, Stephens Mountain and Whites Hill, which are dotted all across the city.

More than 10 languages are in widespread daily use, but Brisbane’s other major languages alongside English are Mandarin 1.1%, Vietnamese 0.9%, Cantonese 0.9%, Italian 0.6% and Samoan 0.5%
