Compared to other European capitals such as London or Paris, Berlin is rather cheap. There are many things to do for all price ranges. Germany is still a cash-based society. Although major credit cards are accepted, it's best not to assume that you'll be able to use credit cards everywhere. Small enterprises are likely not to accept credit cards.
