Bangkok: Hostels

Bangkok’s bustling backpacker scene has made the locals take notice and build a huge variety of hostels throughout the city. With this huge selection comes a huge range. At the bottom end are the low priced, one small bedroom hostels with shared cleaning and toilet facilities and not much else. On the other end of the scale are the new modern hostels with all modern facilities, wireless internet, swimming pools, clean and friendly atmospheres and a refreshing environment. The best hostels in high season are often fully booked so book early to avoid disappointment. With so many low budget hotels and hostels in Bangkok all over the city it is not much of a problem finding a room. Booking can be done online, by phone or by simply walking in and asking. In cheaper establishments be careful of theft as there may be no safes or security for belongings.
