Most visitors to the Bahamas do not do their own cooking, but rather let the many hotels, resorts and restaurants provide them with meals. However, there are some options for self-catering lodging in the Bahamas, including short term apartment rentals or apartment-hotels, and most of all holiday villas. These are often booked privately, but may also be arranged via a service. Many villas are located on Abaco and Eleuthera. These are good choices for family getaways in idyllic beach locations. Prices are based on a per night, per week or per month basis and some good deals may be found.
