After another wonderful day and after watching the sunset with a rum punch or two it is time to check out the nightlife. You will find the nightlife in tune with the relaxed atmosphere of Antigua, no big show boating extravaganzas but there is plenty going on. Hotels and resorts all have various types of entertainment from piano bars to cabarets and dining at weekends with live bands.

There are casinos with dining and live entertainment, Kings Casino at Heritage Quay, St. John’s is the largest and Joe Mikes Plaza and casino at St. John’s has a nice cocktail bar and restaurant serving Caribbean cuisine and also has live entertainment. Check out the following night spots; Abracadabra at English Harbour, a lively scene with DJ’s and international artists, The Beach at Dickenson Bay for lively music, great atmosphere with live bands and DJ’s Friday nights, Rush Night Club and Conor’s Sports Bar at Runaway Bay for dancing in this trendy night club and enjoy their sunset cocktails.

Shamaroons Irish Bar at St. John’s from 11.00am til late, Steely Bar BBR Sportive at Jolly Harbour, a great meeting spot for a poolside BBQ with steel bands on Tuesdays, seafood night on Thursdays and Karaoke on Saturdays, happy hour daily and no cover charge, Russell’s at Fort James for a delightful Caribbean evening in the historic surroundings, Coconut Grove Restaurant and Beach Bar at Dickenson Bay has great live entertainment on the beach with top local bands at weekends, happy hour is from 4.00 pm to 7.00 pm. Dogwatch Tavern at Jolly Harbour Marina has a great bar, super food and is the place to watch fabulous sunsets. Do not miss the Sunday BBQ party and live steel bands at Shirley Heights Lookout, a fun night and the place to meet celebrities they say.
