Antigua and Barbuda: Horse Riding

There is a big equestrian following in Antigua. There are many stables where trekking is available for beginners and for the more experienced riders. Some hotels have horses to hire for beach rides, these include Catamaran Hotel, Ocean Inn at English Harbour, Coconut Beach Club at Yepton Beach and the Antigua Yacht Club and Marine Resort at Falmouth Harbour. Spring Hill Riding Club at Falmouth is the home of the Antigua Barbuda Horse Society, it is a superbly equipped stable set in lush countryside by the sea, perfect setting for trail riding. Individual and class lessons are given by qualified instructors. There is also a ménage and jumping arena, beginners and children are welcome. Experience an exhilarating ride to untouched Rendezvous Bay or go swimming with the horses at a quiet beach near the stables. The World Dressage Challenge in April and various gymkhanas throughout the year are held at Spring Hill.
