Alicante: When to go

Capital of the Costa Blanca

Alicante When to go

Alicante benefits from a year-long comfortable and pleasant climate, with temperatures averaging around 19 degrees centigrade or 66 degrees fahrenheit, making it an ideal destination for visiting during both peak and off peak times. Summer is the busiest time of the year when temperatures are at their hottest, and when most children are on their school holiday. If visitors are able to avoid peak times, they will still have the opportunity to visit the city when temperatures are still mild and hot enough for outdoor leisure activities. Rates are also lower which means that value for money is even better. Furthermore, it is worth taking into consideration that many restaurants close when staff go on holiday in October.

It is also worth bearing in mind that thunderstorm activity becomes more frequent and severe during late September and throughout October before decreasing both in intensity and number in November, December and January.
