Corsica does have a few hostels to stay in and they are to quite a good standard for hostel accommodation. For example E. Catarelle, in the Cosat Verde, you will have a terrace to enjoy the stunning views and the accommodation is welcoming and comfortable. For a hostel in Corsica expect to pay around 40 Euros per night. Included in the accommodation here there is a bar and restaurant and linen and towels are free. There are more in the way of campsites than hostels which are beautiful places to stay if you are holidaying on a budget. One campsite is ‘U Monte Cintu’ in Lozzi which is in the central area of the island. Here you will be in the heart of the stunning countryside with incredible sea views to enjoy. Staying at the site is around 5 Euros a night for adults and you will need to pay extra for things like electricity and car parking. Another camp site is ‘Camp La Pinede’ in the centre of a pinewood forest. Here the accommodation is mobile home and chalet style living quarters. They have a disco, riding area, children’s area and volley ball on site so there is plenty to keep you occupied. Here expect to pay around 10 Euros a night in peak season. Peak season is recognized as July through to the end of August. Most campsites have supermarkets and good shower facilities on site.

Holidaymakers to Santa Giulia go for undisturbed beach basking. This is the perfect sanctuary for bronzing your body, relaxing in the sea and trying sports like sailing and windsurfing. And because there's only a handful of restaurants and bars in the area you'll be left in peace to do enjoy Corsica. The capital of Corsica, Ajaccio, is a great resort if you enjoy historical sites. Lanes pulsing with character and fascinating shops are great places to take pleasure in as well as Ajaccio’s elegant plazas. There are some great fresh food restaurants marrying French and Italian culinary influences. Culturally there's plenty of interest, thanks to the town's museum and monuments to its iconic son, Napoleon Bonaparte. There is also a Fesch museum, dripping with Italian masterworks. Calvi is another very popular resort in Corsica which is steeped in medieval history whilst oozing modern-day glamour. There’s something for everyone in calvi, from food-and beach-lovers to culture vultures, socialites and outdoor enthusiasts. The town is located within the beautiful rugged mountains and scented pinewoods. The beach has some attractive views and is a good spot to enjoy water sports. The marina has cafes to sit outside whilst watching the luxury yachts move in and out of the bay. Calvi has interests for those who enjoy sightseeing with the fortress that guards the town and the old quarter has some shops and eateries to enjoy. In the evening many people cosy up at waterfront eateries to savour Corsican seafood, surrounded by music and a great starlit atmosphere. Corsica has so much to offer in terms of resorts.
